Let’s make the top two of ways people love to organize information. First, for sure, is throwing all data in trash can and forgetting about it. The second is tables. People love tables! They love tables so much that Apple was nothing without spreadsheets software. Apple hired Bill Gates and his Microsoft to make that soft and he was happy to get inspired by Mac OS.

Anyway, let’s get back to the tables. I know a lot of office workers who even write texts in Excel — they find that way of information organization quite comfortable. So once again people love tables. It’s a pity that love doesn’t mean “can do good”. I met too much tables in my life but fell in love with only two of them. Once the man I know and who’s job is something about moving numbers from on Excel row to another asked me, “How aren’t you bored with what you do for living (whatever you do)?” As long as whatever I do including writing is of this post can hardly compete with fascinating words of numbers and Excel I started explaining how I still haven’t shoot myself because of all this dull design and ad things I do. I stated that as for me, the secret of successful and interesting job, whatever you do, is in enjoying it. Working under whiplash is nonsense, you have to change either your attitude or your work. Laundering seals, joking on Higgs boson or making sites must be made with ease. That’s when the work will thank you with great ideas and good emotions. Read more

I made a pretty business card for photographer with QR code on one side. It sounds like a good joke that you have to take pic of his card if you want him to contact you to take yours. I just feel like I don’t want to right anything more, so I illustrated how it works if you have card, cell phone and app that recognizes QR codes on that phone:

Okay, it was morning, I wanted to sleep and somehow wrote long interesting and long comment in one blog. After redesign of the blog I mentioned, I needed to find the way to display my twitter messages on mega.genn.org. I used Twitter for WordPress but it doesn’t load message from time to time because of timeout when fetching RSS. So I improved it a little bit to cache the latest RSS of twitter messages, so we could load that cache if RSS from twitter.com is unavailable at the moment. Read more

Not so long ago I was in Benetton and saw a little girl who didn’t like any of clothes proposed. Her parents were despaired. Her reply on every dress was “It’s so retro!”. It lasted until the salesgirl came to them and with a sight of conspiracy proposed the models of 2010.

I felt myself like that girl and her parents about my blog — no space to write posts as I want it to. So I made my own 2010 collection and here it is — mega is as good as new. Read more
